This is a brilliant coffee machine - other machines I have tried do not produce really hot espresso, but this one does. It froths the milk beautifully and I love the silicone pipes that you can see through the water tank. This tank comes out really easily so it's extremely easy to clean. The milk frother gadget is by far the easiest to keep clean of all machines I've had (and I've had a few, believe me). In addition, this is an incredibly sturdy, well built coffee maker. I know it's expensive but the expression 'you get what you pay for' certainly springs to mind here. Don't go for cheaper alternatives - they are not worth it.

If you like good coffee and enjoy the different varieties - ristretto, espresso, latté, cappuccino etc - then look no further than the Gaggia Classic.
The manual simplifies things a bit too much and you are better off looking for those little 'need to know' things to perfect the drink of your choice.
The only other requirement for a good cup of coffee is FRESH BEANS. Ideally find a local coffee roasters and get your beans from there - once you have tried really fresh coffee you will know why it is worth the effort.
If you want to get serious (maybe turn professional Barista!!!) and make fancy patterns in the froth you may need to ditch the turbo-frother and get a different one attachment. However, for sheer simplicity and an easy good looking - and tasting - drink, the supplied attachment will do.

Remember - FRESH BEANS.

Enjoy!!!
